Vijayalakchumi Packiry has achieved a significant milestone by being appointed as the Assistant Director for the Language Unit (Tamil Division) at the Selangor State Education Department. This appointment not only represents an important step in her career but also underscores the progress of Indian women in leadership roles within the education sector.
Vijayalakchumi, who is serving as the Senior Assistant for Co-Curricular Affairs (Penolong Kanan Ko-Kurikulum) at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Batu Caves, is celebrated for her dedication to enhancing the educational experiences of Tamil students. To honor her achievement, the SJKT Batu Caves’ school management organized a congratulatory event, bringing together teachers and students to celebrate this proud moment.

Initially, the position was held by Sengguttan A/L Veeran, who retired, paving the way for Vijayalakchumi to take the role as the first Indian woman in the organization. Her new position will see her actively managing and coordinating language-related activities within schools across Selangor, aimed at improving language skills among students.
