The High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur has announced a new opportunity for Malaysian Indian students seeking financial support for higher education. The Indian Scholarship & Trust Fund (ISTF) for the academic year 2025-2026 is now open for applications.
This scholarship does not cover full tuition but provides a one-time financial contribution to help alleviate study costs and reduce financial burdens.
This initiative reflects the Indian High Commission’s ongoing commitment to strengthening educational support within the Indian community in Malaysia and encourages academic success among students by easing their financial challenges.

This scholarship is available to:
- Malaysian citizens of Indian origin
- Students enrolled full-time in diploma or undergraduate degree programs at recognised higher education institutions in Malaysia
- Individuals from families where no one else has applied or is applying for the ISTF in the 2025-2026 cycle (only one application per family is permitted)
- Those who have never received ISTF funding before (previous recipients are not eligible to reapply)
These criteria are designed to ensure that the scholarship supports students who demonstrate both the potential for success and a genuine need for financial assistance.
