The Federal Territories government has launched a free community aerobics program aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles and helping residents manage stress. The initiative is part of the 2026 Federal Territories Community Aerobics Program (PSKWP2026) and encourages people from all walks of life to participate in regular physical activity without financial burden.

At the launch, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail emphasized the importance of such programs in providing positive outlets for stress and improving overall well-being.

The program, organized by the Federal Territories Department and coordinated by the Federal Territories Sports Council, will take place weekly throughout the year and is open to the public. It initially started at 25 locations but has now expanded to 44 locations across Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, with a strong focus on residents in public housing areas.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territory), Hannah Yeoh, stated that this initiative is part of broader efforts to combat rising obesity rates while making fitness activities more accessible through collaborations with local councils and fitness organizations.

Officials hope that the program will attract steady participation and become a key long-term effort in fostering healthier and more active communities across the Federal Territories.
