Sekolah Kebangsaan Tamil Azad (SJKT Azad) in George Town, Penang, has successfully opened its first computer lab. This initiative was launched by Dato’ Seri Sundarajoo Somu, a Member of the Penang State Legislative Assembly, on April 10, 2026. The computer lab is designed to be a central hub where students can immerse themselves in the latest technologies and stay updated on current events. This space will not only facilitate hands-on learning experiences with various software and hardware but also foster critical thinking and digital literacy skills essential for navigating an increasingly tech-driven world. The initiative aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for future careers in technical fields, ensuring that they are well-prepared and competitive in the job market from a young age.
