Johor Launches AI-Powered Classroom Initiative to Drive Digital Learning in Schools

A step towards digital transformation in education has been marked as the launch of AI-Powered Classroom (AIPC) initiative at SJKT Jalan Parit Ibrahim.

The ceremony was officiated by the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Education Malaysia, Aminuddin Hassim, proving Johor’s commitment to integrating advanced technology into it’s education system.

Driving Digital Transformation in Classrooms

The AIPC initiative is designed to enhance teaching and learning through the integration of AI making lessons more interactive, personalized and inclusive for student.

As part of the launch, 3 education institutions, SJKT Jalan Parit Ibrahim, SK Seri Telok, and Kolej Vokasional Perdagangan, each received RM10,000 in funding. The contribution will support digital competency programmes and AI-related training for students and educators. The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on equipping learners with future-ready skills, particularly in areas related to digital literacy and emerging technologies.

Also present at the event were Johor State Education Director Zulkurmain Abdul Rahman and Pontian District Education Officer Mohiddin Suyot, highlighting strong collaboration between education leaders at both state and distinct levels. The introduction of AI-powered  classrooms is expected to support teachers in delivering more effective and adaptive lessons as well.

The AIPC launch represents a broader effort to modernise Malaysia’s education landscape, ensuring students are better prepared for the demands of rapidly evolving world of digital.
