Biruntha Mooruthi Appointed as Talent Corp CEO to Strengthen Malaysia’s Talent Development Agenda

Biruntha Mooruthi has been appointed as the new Group Chief Executive Officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (Talent Corp), marking a significant step in strengthening Malaysia’s talent development industry.

The appointment was effective immediately and was welcomed by Human Resource Minister YB Dato Sri’ Ramanan Ramakrishnan, who expressed confidence in Biruntha’s ability to lead the organization towards better impact and innovation.

Strengthening National Talent Strategy

Dato Ramanan described this as a appointment as a move to enhance the strategy of country’s talent development, and ensures it remains focused and aligned with evolving industry demands. He said that Talent Corp plays a critical role in shaping workforce readiness, expanding quality employment opportunities, and support sustainable economic growth through effective talent policies.

A Leader with Extensive Experience

Biruntha has more than two decades of leadership experience across government, academia and industry. Her background includes driving national-level initiatives. Her work is to mentor the entrepreneurs and support technology commercialization that has been recognized as a key contribution to strengthen Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem.

Under her leadership, Talent Corp is expected to continue the role as a strategic think tank, focusing on developing a skilled and competitive workforce capable of meeting the demands of the economic industry.  Dato Ramanan expressed his confidence that Biruntha’s experience and vision would help to accelerate efforts to nurture talent and position Malaysia as a hub for growth and innovation.

He also extended his appreciation to Edward Ling for his contribution and leadership during his time at Talent Corp.
