Malaysia Aviation Group Renews MATTA Partnership, Strengthens Role as Official Airline Partner

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has officially renewed its strategic partnership with the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) for another three years, continuing its role as the Official Airline Partner and Premier Sponsor of Matta Fair in selected state editions nationwide. The renewal reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s tourism industry while enhancing connectivity and travel experiences for both local and international travellers.

As part of the collaboration, Malaysia Aviation Group will continue to play a key role in elevating MATTA Fair as a premier travel platform. A major highlight of its participation is the MAG Arena, recognised as Asia’s largest airline trade pavilion at a consumer travel fair. The pavilion offers immersive experiences, advanced travel technology and high-profile collaborations such as partnership with Manchester United and national cycling icon Datuk Azizulhasni Awang.

Bryan Foong, Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business at MAG, said the partnership aligns with the broader goals of Visit Malaysia 2026, aimed at positioning the country as a gateway to Asia and beyond.

He noted that the strong response to the MAG Arena at the recent MATTA Fair in Kuala Lumpur demonstrates growing interest in enhanced travel offerings and seamless connectivity across key markets.

MATTA President Nigel Wong welcomed the renewed partnership, describing it as a testament to the shared vision between both organisations in building a progressive and resilient tourism landscape.

He emphasised that MAG’s continued support strengthens MATTA Fair’s ability to deliver value-driven travel experiences and expand access to diverse travel opportunities.

Beyond Kuala Lumpur, MAG will also participate in selected MATTA Fair editions in Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, and Penang, offering exclusive travel deals of up to 30% off, along with curated packages and interactive showcases.

The renewed partnership underscores both MAG and MATTA’s commitment to advancing Malaysia’s travel ecosystem through stronger industry collaboration, improved connectivity, and seamless travel experiences, while supporting the nation’s long-term tourism and economic growth.
