Tamil cinema’s most renowned actor, SJ Suryah recently opened up about a project he didn’t end up pursuing. He was initially approached by director Tamilarasan Pachamuthu to play the role of Dinesh in the well-known movie Lubber Pandhu. SJ Suryah suggested some changes to the character, and the director was open to those ideas.
SJ Suryah later recognized that his constant modifications could interfere with the director’s vision and the overall direction of the story. He expressed concern that this could compromise the director’s individuality as a filmmaker.
Ultimately, Lubber Pandhu became a blockbuster hit featuring Dinesh in the lead role, and SJ Suryah admitted that he truly admired what Tamilarasan had created. Released in 2022, Lubber Pandhu starred Harish Kalyan, Sanjana, Dinesh, and Swasika. The film centered around family drama and sports.
Recently, SJ Suryah returned to the big screen as the antagonist in the movie Love Insurance Kompany, which stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, and Gouri Kishan, among others. The film is directed by Vignesh Shivan, with the music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
