A new chapter in the music industry has begun with the official launch of BRAUNX, a artist-first music label by BWHPK. BRAUNX is aimed to empower artist beyond the creative side of music.
Held at Laya Skylounge in PJ, the launch event brought together Malaysia artists including Balan Kash, Amos Paul, Arvind Raj, and Music Kitchen, who showed their support for the initiative. National MIC Youth Leader Arvind Krishnan also attended the event, and highlighted the initiatives positive impact on the Malaysian music industry.

Dedicated to discover and develop new talent, while empowering both signed and independent artists, BRAUNX is dedicated to understand the business side of music. More than just a label, it places as a platform that equips artist with the knowledge and independence to own their voice, their art, and their place in the industry.

The Founder of BRAUNX, Mathubalan said, “BRAUNX represents a new era for voices that refuse to be silenced. This platform will be a creative platform and the music label dedicated to shaping a bold, modern sound for the Malaysian Tamil music scene whilst honoring the spirit of artistic independence.”
Artist Announcements and New Music
At the launch, BRAUX unveiled the first group of artists, and premiered two brand new songs, that offers a early look at the label’s sound and direction. The key highlight is the Unplugged by BRAUNX, a collaboration with Maya Bazaar.

This project provides a platform for emerging talents to perform Tamil cover songs, along with guest appearances by established artists, creating a shared space for new and experienced performers.
Focus on Education and Industry Knowledge
Beyond music, BRAUNX is committed to supporting the creative community through educational initiatives too. These includes seminars and sessions where industry professionals such as producers, artists, and music directors will be sharing their insights to creative processes.

The session will cover important topics like copyright, intellectual property and publishing, which helps artists to get a better understanding on the industry.
“We believe that an educated artist is a powerful artist. We are not just here to release music, we are here to make sure that every Malaysian Tamil artist who walks through our doors understands every room they enter, every deal on the table, and every right they own,” said Mathubalan
With it’s focus on both creativity and knowledge, BRAUNX aims to build a strong and more informed generation of Malaysian Tamil artists.
