On 19 April 2026, Papparaidu Veeraman officiated the vibrant Selangor State Vaisakhi Celebration, which took place at the Laman Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ). This gathering marked the second consecutive year that Papparaidu Veeraman participated in this cultural event, highlighting his ongoing commitment to fostering community spirit and multicultural understanding in Selangor.

Last year, the Vaisakhi festivities were hosted at Gurdwara Sahib Klang, and it has been determined that this celebration will continue as an annual tradition, bringing together diverse communities to honor this important occasion.
In a noteworthy development, the Selangor state government allocated RM95,200 to support 13 gurdwaras in the region. Additionally, there was a supplementary allocation of RM50,000 designated for the Petaling Tin Sikh Association. This generous funding aims to enhance the facilities within the gurdwaras, thus creating a more comfortable and efficient environment for the Sikh community to carry out their religious rituals and social activities.

Furthermore, during the Vaisakhi Celebration, Papparaidu Veeraman took the opportunity to recognize academic excellence by presenting SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) achievement awards to 20 outstanding students who achieved remarkable performance in their examinations. He expressed his hopes that these achievements would serve as a source of inspiration for younger generations, encouraging them to strive for success in their academic pursuits and to contribute positively to society.
The event not only celebrated cultural heritage but also emphasized the importance of education and community support, reinforcing the values of perseverance and aspiration among the youth.
