Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced a special ticket discount campaign offering passengers 30 per cent off for selected train services through the use of the MADANI30 promo code. This initiative supports the government’s efforts to encourage public transportation and is available for a limited time and for selected travel periods.

Under the campaign, the 30 per cent discount is applicable for KTMB’s Electric Train Service (ETS) tickets across all sectors and routes. The offer also extends to the Ekspress Rakyat Timuran (ERT) service for the JB Sentral – Tumpat – JB Sentral route, providing more affordable travel options for passengers on long-distance journeys.

Booking and Travel Period

According to KTMB, tickets under the promotion can be purchased until April 30, 2026. The discounted tickets are valid for travel from April 15 until October 14, 2026, giving passengers several months to plan their journeys.

How to Redeem the Offer

Passengers can redeem the discount by entering the MADANI30 promo code when purchasing tickets through KTMB’s official booking channels.

These include:

KTMB’s official website
The KITS Style mobile application
KTMB self-service kiosks

The promotion is only applicable for standard or full-fare tickets and is limited to travel on Mondays through Thursdays. It is not valid during school holidays, public holidays, and festive holiday periods. Passengers are advised to review the full terms and conditions before making a booking.

The campaign is part of broader efforts by the Ministry of Transport Malaysia and KTMB to encourage more Malaysians to opt for rail transportation, which is considered a more efficient and environmentally friendly mode of travel. The MADANI30 promotion is expected to benefit travellers looking for more affordable transport options while boosting ridership on the country’s rail network.
