Sivasangari, gave a strong game performance at Grasshopper Cup 2026 in Zurich, Switzerland, which got her a place in the finals. She won the game by defeating Amina Orfi from Egypt. Sivasangari, competed for 81 minutes and won with 11-7, 5-11, 8-11, 11-9. 11-5 score.
This win is Sivasangari’s 2nd victory with the Egyptian. She gave a comeback after the second and third game, and got into control in the forth before finishing the match in the fifth game. This shows Sivasangari’s determination.

The result shows her improvement from her last performance, where she lost to world No. 1 Nouran Gohar in the El Gouna Open finals. After the match, Sivasangari said she is very happy and shared a few words.
“There’s nothing much to say about Orfi. She’s world No.3, she’s still very young but she’s at the that level and a really strong player. I was just trying to focus on my game plan, and there’s always a bit of physicality with her but i tried to stay composed, stay calm and not overthink the moment and enjoy it”.
Sivasangari will now face Japan’s Satomi Watanabe, the tournament’s second seed in final. With strength on her side, Sivasangari will aim to go all way this time and secure the title in Zurich.
