Ho Chi Yang, a member of the State Legislative Assembly representing Tanah Rata in Cameron Highlands, along with Councillor Thevin Kaliannan and his team, attended the Chitra Pournami celebration at the Sri Thendayuthapany Swami Temple in Brinchang, Cameron Highlands. At the event, they also provided a RM1,000 contribution to assist in organizing the celebration.

Ho Chi Yang announced that the temple had been allocated RM99,870 from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) for maintenance efforts, which include upgrades to toilets, walls, and other facilities. This action underscores the government’s commitment to maintaining religious diversity.

He also conveyed his gratitude to the Minister of Housing and Local Government, Nga Kor Ming, for his ongoing attention to the progress of non-Muslim places of worship in Cameron Highlands. Together with previous allocations granted to the Poh Shen Tong Buddhist Association in Ringlet and All Souls’ Church in Tanah Rata, a total of RM281,137 has been distributed to three non-Muslim places of worship in the district throughout 2025.
These fundings are intended not only for enhancing the infrastructure of places of worship but also illustrate the government’s commitment to the values of diversity, fairness, and inclusivity, guaranteeing that every community is afforded equal opportunities for development.
