Education Minister Highlights Role of Facilities in Improving Learning

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has assured that safe and well-equipped school environments plays a important role in improving the quality of teaching and learning in Malaysia. Speaking after the handover to new Perak Education Department complex, she said that the infrastructure is not just about buildings but about creating a place where students and teachers can thrive.

Fadhlina has highlighted that a secure and conductive space impacts how effectively lessons are delivered and absorbed.

Progress in Rural Education

Speaking on the overall education, she encouraged improvements in rural schools, including in Perak and parts of Sarawak.

These improvements reflects on the ongoing efforts by government to reduce gap between urban and rural education, which ensures that student across the country have access to quality learning opportunities.

Fadhlina also addressed concerns on the SPM results. While she acknowledged the feedback from some parents regarding a certain programmes, she said overall performance has improved.

New RM58 Million Education Complex

Newly completed RM58 Million complex, developed in collab with the Public Works Department is set to start in operations in June. built on 2.5-hectare site, the facility includes computer lab, seminar room, counselling space, a main hall, and administrative offices, designed to support academic and operational needs.

The building also has elements of Perak’s cultural identity, including a structure inspired by traditional Perak house at it’s entrance.

The previous education department building will be repurposed for operational use by the Kinta Utara education office. Fadhlina ensured that the government remains committed to improving student outcomes through efforts and timely interventions.
