The Ministry of Higher Education (Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi) has announced that the results for the UPU application will be released on 22 May 2026 (Friday). This application is for students who have completed their SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) and are applying for Public Universities, Public Higher Education Institutions, and the MARA Higher Education Division (MARA BPT).
According to the ministry, applicants may check their results starting from 12:00 noon on 22 May until 5:00 PM on 31 May 2026.

Candidates who have successfully gained admission to any institutions must confirm their acceptance of the offers between May 23 and May 31, 2026, through the respective websites of the universities (UA), Public Higher Education Institutions (IPTA), and MARA BPT institutions. Official offer letters will be issued beginning on May 23, 2026, once candidates complete their acceptance confirmation within the designated period.
What to Do If You Are Rejected and Want to Submit an Appeal
Applicants who did not receive offers from any institutions, or those who received offers for certificate-level programs, are eligible to submit appeals through UPUOnline. The appeal period will last for 10 days, starting at 12:00 noon on May 22, 2026, and ending at 5:00 PM on May 31, 2026. Appeals to Community Colleges (KK) can be submitted directly to the respective institutions without going through UPUOnline.
The Ministry of Higher Education has stated that all admission offers for the 2026/2027 Academic Session are final, and requests to change study programmes at UA, IPTA, and MARA BPT will not be permitted. However, appeal considerations will depend on the availability of vacancies following the completion of new student registration.
