Thural: A Family Drama Revealing Hidden Dynamics and Unexpressed Realities
The storyline of Thural focuses on Lakshmi, a career-oriented woman balancing work commitments with caregiving duties. As she prepares to marry off her son, Arjun, Lakshmi hopes her future daughter-in-law will assist her in caring for the family. A meeting with Sandhya, who lovingly cares for her disabled brother, leads Lakshmi to believe that Sandhya is the perfect match for Arjun.
However, Sandhya’s arrival poses a threat to Geetha, a private nurse helping Lakshmi, who then devises a series of schemes to turn the family against Sandhya. As the emotional strain on Sandhya increases, she starts to reconsider her choice to remain in the marriage and thinks about divorce, unfolding a narrative of love, sacrifice, and deeply entrenched family conflicts. The series ultimately revolves around whether Sandhya will strive to preserve her marriage or decide to walk away from it.
Thural showcases a blend of both emerging and well-known local artists, including Pashini Sivakumar, Thevaguru, Preetha Prasad, KS Maniam and more. Directed by C.
