Gilis won after defeating another Malaysian, Aifa Azman with 11-7, 11-6, 11-3. Sivasangari now holds 2-1 head-to-head advantage against Gilis, which also includes the recent victory in the Grasshopper Cup in Zurich Semi-Finals last month.

National coach Ajaz Azmat has praised both the players for their performance. She described that Sivasangari started good in the first game, then Aira came back stronger in the second and third. However, Sivasangari focused to fight back. It was a strong game by Sivasangari as described by Ajaz.
