Katiravan Subarayan has set a new record by traveling across 109 countries on a motorcycle in nearly 1,223 days. The Malacca-born traveller began his worldwide motorcycle journey three years ago.
Despite facing various challenges along the way, he successfully crossed 109 countries and has now returned home after completing his expedition in 1,223 days. He rode a BMW R1200 GS Adventure. His journey was not only about travel; it also aimed to create awareness about protecting our environment.

His journey officially concluded at Batu Caves, where a grand welcome ceremony was held to celebrate his achievement. Among those present at the event were Selangor state’s Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, Datuk T. Mohan, and along with many others. During the event, Katiravan mentioned that he completed his journey at the same location where he first began.

Selangor Chief Minister Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari shared a message on his Facebook page, expressing his hope that Katiravan’s journey inspires many young people today to pursue their dreams while also doing good for the environment.
Katiravan also shared that throughout his journey, he realised there is no country as wonderful as Malaysia. Additionally, the expedition aimed to raise awareness about environmental protection, including tree planting and nature preservation. Katiravan expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him in successfully completing this incredible journey.
