Dato Sivanesan Achalingam has announced funding for Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Sungkai, Perak to improve the school’s infrastructure and facilities. SJKT Sungkai recently held its annual sports day, where students demonstrated their athletic skills in various categories. Jayakumar Balakrishnan, representing Dato Sivanesan Achalingam, attended the event on his behalf.
During the sports day, he announced that RM15,000 would be allocated this year for the activities and operations of SJKT Sungkai. Additionally, Dato Sivanesan has allocated RM30,000 for upgrading and improving the school’s canteen and hall, as stated by his special officer and Tapah District Council member, Jayakumar Balakrishnan.
This is not a one-time contribution; Dato Sivanesan has consistently supported the school each year based on its needs. Jayakumar also emphasized that Dato Sivanesan’s dedication and constructive efforts have greatly benefited Tamil schools in the Sungai–Bidor area, as well as those in the Tapah and Tanjong Malim regions. He encouraged the school administration and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to continue taking proactive initiatives to meet the school’s needs.
