SJKT Simpang Lima, Klang, made everyone proud as their students gave a strong game and performance in chess at the Kejohanan Catur SJKT Peringkat Kebangsaan 2026. The competition took place at SJKT Melaka (Kubu).
The students won several awards individually, and helped to win the prestigious Best School (Girls Level 1) title with their strong teamwork, and strategy.
Among the students who made the school proud was Mahaletchumy, who won second prize in the Under-7 Girls Category. Another student Tanvika also won second prize in the Under-9 Girls category, while Madhumithaa won another second-place in the Under-10 Girls category.
The school also had strong performance from Atanur, who finished in eighth place in the Under-9 Girls category, and Saandeep, who won eighth place in the Under-12 Boys category.
All the achievements made by the students made SJKT Simpang Lima to win the Best School (Girls Level 1) title, which is a proud accomplishment for the school and it’s community.
The competition had many talented young chess players from Tamil schools. Which gives students the opportunity to challenge themselves and test their focus, thinking and decision-making skills in competitive environment.
Chess is a game that plays an important role in helping students strengthen concentration, patience and critical thinking skills from young. The success of SJKT Simpang Lima’s students shows the growing talent in tamil schools.
