Janani Sai Prabagaran Devadas has made her mark in the Malaysian Karate field, where she delivered an impressive performance at the 34th MAKAF National Karate Championship 2026 (Pre-SUKMA). The competition was held from April 30 to May 3, 2026, at Dewan Konvensyen Majlis Bandaraya Bukit Raja, Klang, Selangor.

The 13-year-old athlete from Saha Champ Karate Academy represented Hayashi Ha Malaysia and competed in the U14 Individual Female Kumite Below 42kg category, where she secured 3rd place out of 41 athletes. Janani competed against participants from 14 states and various karate clubs across the country. The result marks a significant achievement at a highly competitive national-level championship.

A Journey Built on Discipline and Challenges

Janani began her karate journey at the age of five and has now trained for six years under consistent guidance and support. Her coach, Mr Saha, also the founder of the Saha Champ Karate Academy,  highlighted that one of her key challenges is adapting to unfamiliar opponents from different states and clubs.

However, through strategic preparation and determination, she continues to overcome these challenges and improve her performance.
