Johor Allocates RM5.95 Million To Upgrade Teachers Rooms Across the State

The Johor State Government has continued its Teacher’s Room Assistance Initiative to appreciate the dedication and sacrifices made by the teachers. This is aimed to improve the welfare and working environment of teachers across the state.

The initiative provides RM5,000 in financial assistance for each teacher’s room in schools all over Johor. This allocation will be used to improve existing facilities, helping create a more comfortable, organized and conductive space for teachers.

The announcement was shared as everyone celebrated teachers day on 16th May, recognizing the important role teachers paly not only in educating students, but in shaping values, character and the future of the younger generation.

As part of the initiative, a working visit was carried out to schools in DUN Tenggaroh, where mock cheques were presented to 28 teacher representatives from schools in the area. The schools involved included SK, SJKT, SJKC and SMK.

The contribution is an appreciation for educators from all school backgrounds who continue to serve and guide students for years with commitment and care.

The Teacher’s Room Assistance Initiative is part of Johor government’s efforts to strengthen teachers welfare and have better working spaces for educators. With this, educators are hoped to have a more suitable place to prepare lessons, rest and complete their responsibilities comfortably.

The programme involves 1,195 schools across Johor, More than 49,000 educators, RM 5.95 Million allocation for 2026 and RM23.8 Million cumulative allocation over four years.
