In conjunction with Teacher’s Day, on May 15, 2026, Fadhlina Sidek, the Education Minister, visited Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Ladang Transkrian in Nibong Tebal, Penang. During her visit, she proudly distributed a generous donation of RM10,000 along with a new air conditioner to improve the amenities in the teachers’ room.
This funding initiative is part of a larger project in which Fadhlina allocated a total of RM315,000 for upgrading teachers’ offices across various schools in her constituency, Nibong Tebal.

In addition to SJKT Ladang Transkrian, this significant initiative also extends to several other schools, including Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Sekolah Kebangsaan Saujana Indah, and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (SJK) Cina Kampung Jawi. Each of these schools will benefit from enhancements that aim to improve the educational environment for teachers.

During her visit to SJKT Ladang Transkrian, Fadhlina engaged with students and observed their participation during the morning assembly. She expressed her admiration for their energy and enthusiasm, noting that it reflects the dedication and hard work of the teachers in creating a positive and motivating atmosphere for the students.
Fadhlina’s initiative not only seeks to improve the physical infrastructure of schools but also aims to support the overall development and well-being of the students in her care.
