146 Indian students were honoured at the SPM Top Scorers Recognition Ceremony. The event was organized by Penang Hindu Endowments Board.
The event was an example of how important education is and celebrated the proud moment for students, parents, teachers and the wider Indian community in Penang.

Sanjay Muniandy from SMK Bukit Jambul was one of the students who was honoured. He received special recognition for scoring 10A+ in the SPM examination. His achievement was praised and honored for the hard work it put in for months and years.
During this event, RSN Rayer has also said that Penang is the only state in Malaysia with LWHPP (Lembaga Wakaf Hindu Pulau Pinang/ Penang Hindu Endowments Board) as an institution dedicated to support the Hindu community.

RM1.29 Million in total has been spent over the past three years, only for education and welfare assistance programmes, which benefited 1,712 Hindus across Penang.
Chief Minister of Penang, Chow Kon Yeow, congratulated the students and said their success is a proud achievement for the state’s education and their families.

He encouraged students to continue this success and hoped that they would one day contribute back to Penang in their professional fields.

This ceremony does not only celebrate academic achievement but is to inspire more students to work hard and pursue more success through education.
