The Selangor State Government has approved 33 applicants under Phase 1 of the Indian Entrepreneur Equipment Assistance Programme (i-SEED) 2026. This programme is part of ongoing efforts to empower the Indian community through economic support and entrepreneurship development.
The initiative’s main aim is to assist small entrepreneurs and individuals in need by providing equipment assistance to help improve their businesses and generate more sustainable income. The approvals involved applicants from the districts of Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor and Hulu Langat.

The approvals were finalised during the I-SEED Selection Committee Meeting which was led by Papparaidu Veeraman, Selangor State Government’s EXCO, which was chaired to review, coordinate and endorse applications received from various districts across Selangor.
UPEN Poverty Eradication Unit Assistant Director Puan Rahayu Binti Ali also joined the meeting, together with several related officers who provided feedback and recommendations throughout the evaluation process.

Appreciation was also extended to the I-SEED Unit led by Mathavan Muniandy as well as Indian Community Leaders (KKI), who played an important role in identifying deserving applicants who genuinely required assistance.
It is also informed that Phase 2 of the I-SEED Assistance Programme is scheduled to take place in June 2026 and will involve the districts of Kuala Langat, Klang, Gombak and Petaling. The state government hopes the I-SEED programme will continue to serve as a catalyst for the socio-economic development of the Indian community while helping to improve overall living standards across Selangor.
