A group of Year 4 students from SJK (T) Ladang Kinrara has made Malaysian Indians proud after achieving success at the World Young Innovators Exhibition (WYIE) 2026, which was on 18th May to 19th May 2026, the competition took place at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The young innovators impressed all the judges and participants with their innovation called, GlucoGuard-Smart Night Sugar Alert System. It is a smart and affordable innovation to help diabetic patients rdetect dangerous low blood sugar levels during sleep.

The Smart GlocoGuard Alert System was created to give immediate alerts to patients and caregivers during emergencies which is caused by nocturnal hypoglycemia, a condition where blood sugar level drops low during sleep.
The system combines sound, light, vibration and emergency notification to reduce help risks for diabetic patients especially at night.
Despite being young, the students had successfully developed a creation which is focused on solving a real-life healthcare issue, while showcasing creativity, critical thinking and innovation.
Their impressive invention got the team three awards:
- Best Invention Award (Primary Category)
- Special Award by Dewan Alnahda Arab Saudi Private School
- Gold Award

This success of SJKT Ladang Kinrara students highlights the importance of encouraging innovation and STEM education. Their success has not just brought pride to the school community but inspired many other students who are capable of creating meaningful inventions which helps people.
