The World Young Innovators Exhibition 2026, organized by the International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Competition and Exhibition, is a platform that showcases the talent and skills of young innovators in the STEM industry. The exhibition took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on May 18 and 19, 2026. Many school students participated, displaying their inventions.
Among them, students from our Tamil schools presented several innovative creations, demonstrating their skills. The students from SJKT RRI Sungai Buloh also excelled at the exhibition, winning gold and silver medals for their inventions.
Gold Medal: Illuminated Footwear 2.0
A team of six students has won a gold medal at the International Invention, Innovation & Technology (ITEX) competition for their project, Illuminated Footwear 2.0. This project focuses on a smart footwear innovation designed to enhance visibility and safety through creative technology integration. The footwear features integrated LED lighting to improve visibility while also promoting creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving skills among children.
The team collaborated to design and present their innovation by combining STEM concepts, teamwork, and hands-on learning. Through this project, the students aimed to create a simple yet impactful solution that raises safety awareness and inspires young learners to explore science and technology.

In addition to securing a gold medal, they also won Best Young Inventor 2026 (Primary Level) and secured 2nd Place Overall (Top 3 Finalists).
Silver Medal: Smart Water Tank 2.0
Consisting of a group of six students, this team has developed a Smart Water Tank Leak Detection 2.0 system. When a leak occurs in the water tank, the system alerts users through a buzzer and an IoT notification on Telegram. With a focus on reducing water wastage caused by leaks, they created an efficient system that allows users to take swift action and minimize water loss. This innovation also enhances safety in homes and industrial settings.
