Resorts World Genting has taken another step in its sustainability journey with the introduction of its first-ever MPV electric vehicle (EV) shuttle service using the DENZA D9 Premium.The official handover ceremony took place at Awana Village and brough together representatives from Resort World Genting, Denza Sime Motors and BYD Sime Motors.
The newly introduced DENZA D9 Premium EVs will serve as shuttle vehicles for guests travelling between Genting Grand and Crockfords, providing a more premium, comfortable and environmentally friendly transportation experience within the resort. The initiative reflects RWG’s commitment towards reducing carbon emissions while supporting greener mobility solutions as part of its broader sustainability efforts.
Spencer Lee, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Public Relations of RWG, stated that “The introduction of the DENZA D9 EV shuttle service marks an important milestone in RWG’s sustainability journey. RWG is the first integrated resort in the industry to introduce the DENZA D9 Premium as part of its transport service operations, reinforcing its focus on innovation and sustainable hospitality practices. Powered by BYD’s Blade Battery technology, the fully electric MPV offers a quieter and smoother ride while contributing to greener transportation within the resort. The vehicle also features spacious three-row seating, premium NAPPA leather seats and enhanced cabin comfort for passengers.
Beyond green mobility initiatives, RWG has continued to promote environmentally conscious tourism through attractions such as Eufloria, a nature-inspired floral and sculpture garden, as well as Genting Nature Adventures, which encourages guests to explore the surrounding rainforest through sustainable outdoor experiences.
