Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has ensured that support for Form Six students will continue even after the pre-university programme is under the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE).
In a FB post, Fadhlina said the transition follows a resolution for all pre-university programmes to be managed under MoHE.

“Perhaps this is my last speech with Form Six students. After this, they will be handed over to MoHE. I will certainly miss these Form Six students who are highly dedicated and have always upheld the aspiration of national education,” she said.
Fadhlina has announced a few initiatives during her time under the Education Ministry to strengthen the Form Six experience.
Among the initiatives is the National Form Six Students Representative Committee through the student election system , which allows Form Six students to choose their own leaders.

She also said the collab has been going on in public universities such as Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia to further support Form Six programmes. In addition, Early schooling aid was then extended to form 6 students, while more form 6 colleges were established.
According to Fadhlina, an annual allocation of RM50,000 was provided for the National Form Six Student Representative Committee to support student-led activities and leadership development.
The transition of form 6 students moving to MoHE is a new chapter for our country’s pre-university education journey, while ongoing support is expected to continue for students around Malaysia.
