South Indian actress Priyanka Mohan has been appointed as the Honorary Ambassador for Korea Tourism by the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO), marking another milestone in her growing association with South Korea.
Priyanka shared this news on her official social media, where she expressed her gratitude to the Korean government and Korea Tourism Organisation for entrusting her with the role of bringing Korean culture closer to Indian audiences.
Priyanka Mohan also thanked KTO President Park Sung-hyeuck for the trust and warm welcome she received during the appointment ceremony. Priyanka’s new role is expected to strengthen cultural ties between India and South Korea while promoting Korean tourism among Indian travellers and fans.
The appointment comes just months after the release of the Netflix film Made in Korea, starring Priyanka Mohan, which was released on March 12, 2026. The movie follows Shenba, a young Tamil woman whose dream of visiting South Korea takes an unexpected turn when she is in a foreign land. Shenba forms meaningful friendships and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.
Filmed extensively in South Korea, Made in Korea was praised for showcasing the cultural connections between India and Korea while highlighting themes of friendship, personal growth and new beginnings. Priyanka’s involvement in the film further strengthened her connection with South Korea, making her appointment as Korea Tourism’s Honorary Ambassador a fitting next chapter in her career.
