At the Indonesia Open, the world No. 2 pair Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan have progressed to the second round. Pearly and Thinaah competed against Canada’s world No. 37 duo, Jackie Dent and Crystal Lai.
They completed the round in a swift 25 minutes, winning with a score of 21-13, 21-9, starting their campaign impressively at the esteemed Super 1000 event.

The renowned Indonesian venue has proven to be a favorable spot for Pearly and Thinaah, who finished as runners-up at last year’s Indonesia Open before improving their performance to win the Indonesia Masters title in January.
Pearly and Thinaah will be looking to rectify their disappointing second-round elimination at the Singapore Open last week and build on their strong performance record in Indonesia.
Their next opponents will be Taiwan’s Hsu Ya Ching and Sung Yu-Hsuan, who triumphed over Hong Kong’s Lui Lok Lok and Tsang Hiu Yan with scores of 21-17, 17-21, 21-16.
Pearly and Thinaah have a 1-0 head-to-head lead against the world No. 15 team, having secured a victory of 21-16, 21-19 in the first round of last year’s Indonesia Masters.
