Malaysia’s young squash talent R.Vidhurran has continued his impressive run of form by winning the boys Under-15 title at the Lion City Junior Open in Singapore.

The Penang player defeated Singapore’s Jackrish Kumar with 11-6, 12-10, 11-9 in the finals. This is another achievement to his successful season. The victory is after Vidhurran won silver medal in the Under-15 category at Asian Junior Championships in Panzhizhua, China.

After the win, Vidhurran spoke and described this title as a rewarding moment and a sign of his hard work in training paid off. He also said this result gives him confidence as he prepares for his upcoming game, Penang Junior Open.

The tournament was also special as Vidhurran’s younger sister, R.Meera also delivered a strong performance in girls Under-11 category. Meera kept her game up until the final before winning against fellow Malaysian B.Kavilaasri.

After the game, she said the final was a valuable experience and has motivated her to work harder in training as she aims for success at future tournaments. Even the Penang Junior Open.
