YDH Superintendent Manimaran Muniandi has joined duty as the new Ulu Selangor District Police Chief (OCPD) in the handover ceremony held at the Ulu Selangor District Police Headquarters.

The ceremony was the official transition of leadership from Assistant Commissioner Ibrahim Husin, who previously served as the Ulu Selangor Police Chief and has since been promoted to become the Gombak District Police Chief. The ceremony was held in a formal and grand setting, with many officers, personnel and guests present. The ceremony also had Selangor Police Chief Dato’ Pahlawan Shazeli Kahar, who was there to oversee the handover of responsibilities.

New Leadership for Ulu Selangor Police
With his appointment, Superintendent Manimaran now will take over the responsibility of leading the Ulu Selangor police force and continuing efforts to maintain public safety, security and law enforcement within the district.

The leadership change is a new chapter for the district police headquarters as the force continues their commitment to serving the community and addressing local security needs.
PERKEP Leadership Also Changes Hands
Along the official handover of police duties, Pushpavalli Balakrishnan, the wife of Superintendent Manimaran joined her new role as the Chairperson of the Ulu Selangor District Police Family W welfare Association (PERKEP).

PERKEP plays an important role in supporting the welfare of police personnel and their families through various programmes and community initiatives.
The appointment of both Superintendent Manimaran Muniandi and Pushpavalli is a new leadership team for the district, with responsibilities that go more than policing to include community engagement and family welfare initiatives.
