SJKT Fletcher stood out as one of the top schools at TASEEM 2026 (Tarian Sekolah-Sekolah Malaysia), a Kuala Lumpur state-level school dance competition held from June 15 to 16, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall of TAR University.
The students of SJKT Fletcher competed in the “Indian Traditional Dance” category and emerged as champions among seven participating schools. In addition to winning the championship title, they also received several other accolades:

- Best Dressed (Busana Terbaik)
- Best Female Dancer – Lavanyah Sai
- Best Choreography – Mrs. Kalaichelvi

This achievement highlights the dedication, discipline, and countless hours of practice put in by both the students and their teachers. Their success underscores the school’s commitment to nurturing artistic talent and promoting cultural performances among students.
The Bharatanatyam team was guided by dedicated teachers Mrs. Kalaichelvi Jayamohan and Ms. Dharshini, whose expertise and support were crucial in preparing the students for the competition.

Following SJKT Fletcher’s success, other Tamil schools also participated in this category. SJKT APPAR secured the second place, while SJKT Cheras took third place. The fourth place was earned by SJKT Ladang Edinburgh, followed by SJKT Vivekananda in fifth place, SJKT Segambut in sixth place, and SJKT Saraswathy in seventh place.
This event highlights the involvement of Tamil school students in preserving traditional dance, as well as the commitment and dedication of their teachers in teaching Bharatanatyam.
