The film has a star cast and each of the stars have been joining the sets over the last few weeks. After Rakul Preet, it was Siddharth and Priya Bhavani Shankar who joined the shooting in MGR Film City in Chennai. Now, Kamal Haasan himself who has been hosting the popular reality show Bigg Boss 3, has joined the set.
A sequel to the blockbuster vigilante thriller of the same name, ‘Indian 2’ will see Kamal Haasan returning as the freedom fighter Senapathy. Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead and also undergone training in Kalaripayattu, an Indian martial art and the movie also stars veteran actor Delhi Ganesh and Vidyut Jammwal. Interestingly, actor Vivekh has also been roped in to play an important role in the film and it be the first time he is part of a Kamal Haasan film.
It’s a well-known fact that Kamal Haasan and Shankar are reuniting after two decades for the upcoming political film ‘Indian 2’, which was formally announced last year. While Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for the film, Ravi Varma will be handling the camera.
Siddharth will play the grandson of the freedom fighter-turned-vigilante, Senapathi, who sets out on a mission to eradicate corruption in the society by killing corrupt government officials in the 1996 original.
