The Selangor state government has officially launched verification eligibility checks for the Baucar Kita Selangor (BKS) 2026 programme. This is an initiative under the state’s efforts to ease the burden of rising living costs.
A total of RM30 million has been allocated, with approximately 50,000 households are expected to benefit from this initiative. Eligible recipients will receive RM100 per month for six months, amounting a total of RM600 per household over the duration of the programme.

Who Can Apply?
The application process began on 23 June 2026, and eligible applicants fall under two main categories:
Category A
- BINGKAS applicants
- Heads of households classified as low-income (earning below RM5,000)
- Caregivers of vulnerable groups, including coordinators and supervisors of PPDK and PAWE centres
- Kindergarten (taska) teachers
- Parents or guardians of children with disabilities
- Workers who have been laid off due to economic or crisis-related reasons
Category B
- Single mothers (women who are widowed or divorced)

Recipients are identified through government databases, including federal and state records, the Department of Social Welfare (JKM), and ICU Selangor data. The scheme also includes individuals who have not previously benefited from similar assistance programmes such as BINGKAS.
Applications and verification can be completed online through the official portal.
Beyond financial assistance, the state government said it will continue strengthening long-term support initiatives such as skills training, employment opportunities, and economic empowerment programmes, including the Selangor Career Programme, aimed at helping residents increase their income and achieve greater financial stability.
The initiative forms part of Selangor’s broader strategy to support vulnerable households while promoting sustainable economic resilience.
