The makers of ‘I, Nobody’, a crime thriller starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead roles, released the film’s long-awaited trailer just last week. The trailer introduces us to Prithviraj’s character Rajeevan, a seemingly reckless man, who’s trying to somehow strike a balance between pursuing his criminal tendencies and protecting his family.

The trailer opens with an intense Rajeevan being threatened by a couple of men, daring him to part with half of the wealth he’s amassed over the years through his criminal activities. Rajeevan offers to submit all his wealth to the men, but his response is interspersed with him bashing a few of them, suggesting that his offer is more a veiled threat than a generous deal.
In the next scene, however, the tables turn quickly as the police show up at Rajeevan’s home, taking him for questioning in regards to a suspected case of money laundering. It is also revealed that this isn’t the first time he’s attracted the spotlight, as even members of the building complain that he’s beaten up the security guard in the elevator despite being warned repeatedly,
As the police warn him again to mend his ways, his explanation is simple yet captivating, “Can’t help it, sir. My ways have always been a bit reckless.” Rajeevan is unfazed as long as the cops or his detractors chase down his associates or even raid his office. But he’s concerned about them showing up at their house and hurting his family.
When his wife, Meera, played by Parvathy, and their children also get entangled, he assures her that he’ll fix the mistake he made. Unable to believe him, she states that her children are her top priority. When Meera is told in front of Rajeevan that even she is aware of his criminal activities, she questions him as to why he’s not arguing against the grave allegation at all. As pressure mounts on Rajeevan, he assures his daughter not to worry, adding that those who have tried to derail him have never lived long enough to see the day.
Set to release in cinemas on July 9, ‘I, Nobody’ has music by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman and stunts by Yannick Ben, Kalai Kingson and Amith Jolly Bastin.
