‘Malaysia MADANI: Well-being Enjoyed’ Announced as Theme for National Day and Malaysia Day 2026

The Ministry of Communications officially unveiled the logo and theme for the National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) 2026 celebrations, with this year’s theme announced as “Malaysia MADANI: Well-being Enjoyed.”

The announcement was made by Communications Minister and Chairman of the National Day and Malaysia Day 2026 Main Committee, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

The theme shows the government’s commitment to build advanced, inclusive and prosperous nation based on the Malaysia MADANI concept. Guided by the values of justice, humanity and welfare, it highlights the importance of ensuring that the nation’s progress and well-being are enjoyed fairly by all Malaysians.

National Month Celebrations

The National Month celebrations will start with the Launch Ceremony of the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 on 18th July in Perak. 

This will be followed by National Day celebration on 31st August in Putrajaya, while the Malaysian Day celebration will take place on 16th September in Sarawak. Throughout the National Month, a variety of programmes and activities will be organized to promote patriotism, unity, and love for the country such as HKHM Language Adventure, Quran Hour, 1 House 1 Jalur Gemilang (1R1JG) campaign, Merdeka Eve, Merdeka Countdown, RIUH Merdeka, and the Statesman Commemoration Ceremony.

Public Encouraged to Join the Celebrations

The public is encouraged to take part in the nationwide celebrations and support the activities planned for National Month.

More information on the programmes, promotional activities, and event schedules at national, ministry and states levels is available through the Official Merdeka360 Portal. Ministry of Communications Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah and Information Department Director-General Erwin Khairul Ahmad was present during the announcement

The 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations are expected to bring Malaysians together in the spirit of unity, while reflecting the values of Malaysia MADANI vision.
