The Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) launched Uyarvu MADANI Grant Programme, a new initiative to help more than 700 Indian entrepreneurs across Malaysia grow their businesses.
Launched on 29th June 2026, the programme gives grants up to RM50,000 and is part of the MADANI Government’s efforts to strengthen the Indian community’s participation in the country’s entrepreneurial sector.
Supporting Business Growth
Human Resources Minister Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan said the initiative is the government’s commitment under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to develop more competitive entrepreneurs who are able to expand their businesses, increase their income and create quality employment opportunities.

He said Uyarvu MADANI Grant is more than just a financial assistance. Instead, it is designed to help businesses with strong potential grow to become more resilient in today’s competitive market.
According to him, the government hopes to see more Indian entrepreneurs not only to start businesses but also build successful companies that creates more job opportunities for the community.
Three Grant Categories
MITRA Director-General Raveendran Nair said the grant is to support businesses at different stages of growth.
The programme offers three funding categories:
- Micro: Grants of up to RM20,000
- Growth: Grants of up to RM35,000
- High: Grants of up to RM50,000
The funding is to help businesses to improve their operations and increase productivity.

Applications Open Until 13th July
Applications for Uyarvu MADANI Grant Programme is opened from 29th June and will close on 13th July 2026, at 5PM.
To be eligible, applicants must be Malaysian citizens of Indian descent, aged between 21 and 55 years old and have valid business registration with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
