Four Tamil Schools in Johor Join MADANI School Initiative

Four SJKT in Johor are set to benefit from the Angkat MADANI School Initiative, with each school receiving RM50,000 to improve their learning environment and school facilities. 

The launch took place at SJKT Ladang Fortrose in Segamat. Deputy Education Minister YB Wong Kah Woh, Deputy National Unity Minister and Segamat MP YB Yuneswaran Ramaraj and Jementah Assemblywoman Ng Kor Sim.

During the event, KL Consult Sdn Bhd, a strategic partner of the Ministry of Transport (MOT), presented a RM50,000 contribution to SJKT Ladang Fortrose.

4 Tamil Schools to Benefit

Under Phase 1, Ministry of Transport’s Angkat MADANI School Project, 18 schools from different education streams across Johor will receive support. Among them 4 Tamil schools, with total RM200,000 allocation.

The schools are:
  • SJKT Ladang Fortrose: RM50,000
  • SJKT Bandar Seri Alam: RM50,000
  • SJKT Ladang Sungai Plentong: RM50,000
  • SJKT Jalan Khalid: RM50,000

The contribution for SJKT Ladang Sungai Plentong and SJKT Ladang Fortrose were given by KL Consult Associates Sdn Bhd, while Successful Corporation Berhad contributed to SJKT Jalan Khalid.

Supporting Better Education

The Angkat MADANI School Initiative was introduced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in 2025 to strengthen the country’s education system through partnerships involving government agencies, government-linked companies (GLCs), government-linked investment companies (GLICs) and strategic partners. This is to improve school infrastructure and provide better learning environment.
