Beginning as a Malayalam song rooted in longing and romance, it has now evolved into a global phenomenon, resonating deeply with listeners across languages and cultures.
With Shreya’s Hindi vocals embedded in the original’s emotional core, the remix expands the song’s reach while preserving the poetic storytelling and melody that contributed to its viral success. Peaking at #17 on Spotify India’s Top 200, then climbing to #2 on Spotify UAE’s Top 200, and later entering Spotify’s Global Viral Songs chart at #32, the original ‘Kalyani’s’ success had already spread across key international markets, hitting #2 in Singapore, #3 in UAE, and #11 in both India and Malaysia, proving that regional Indian music is no longer limited by geography or language.
