Perhaps the most commonly known fact about public speaking is that some people fear it more than death. This is never an easy feat for the average person. However, for 18-year-old Tanusya, public speaking is an affinity she has thrived in since her days in school.
Having previously conquered public speaking competitions such as The Canadian Public Speaking Competition, the UK-based WeVoi Public Speaking Competition, and The SPEAKUP! Challenge, Tanusya Manimuttu has now struck again at The Warwick Public Speaking Championships 2026, bagging awards in 8 major categories:
- Regional Best Speaker
- Best Speaker of Southeast Asia
- Best Speaker of Malaysia
- Best Overall Speaker
- Champion – Persuasive Category
- Best Speaker of Persuasive Speaking
- 2nd Best Speaker of Impromptu Speaking
- 3rd Best Speaker of Interpretive Reading
This international competition, which took place on the 4th and 5th of July, also had participants hailing from South Korea, China, New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, India, Vietnam, Indonesia & Hong Kong.
Tanusya’s success journey transitioning onto the global stage from national ones stands as a testament to the depth of talent that thrives within the Malaysian Indian youth. Her golden moments on the international stage not only serve as a beacon of motivation for her peers but also as a source of pride for the community.
Congratulations on your big win, Tanusya! Keep shining through your future endeavours!
