Yayasan Sugam, through it’s Sugam SAMSKHAARA initiative founded in 2010, is inviting young Malaysian Hindus to explore leadership, personal growth and timeless values at the DharmaNEXT Conference 2026. The one-day conference will take place on 16th August 2026, at the Asia-Europe Institute Auditorium, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, under the theme called “Living Dharma in a Disruptive World”.
The word Dharma means the righteous way of living through duties, ethics, virtues, and good conduct in Hinduism, which is the main focus of the conference.
The organizers said today’s youth are growing up in a world shaped by AI, social media, rapid technological changes and increasing mental health challenges. DharmaNEXT is made to connect these modern-day issues with timeless Dharmic values, presenting them in a way that is practical and relevant for young people.

The conference is expected to bring around 200 Hindu children and youth aged between 9 and 19 from Malaysia together.
Unlike a traditional conference, DharmaNEXT 2026 will have a TED Talk-style presentation given by young speakers. They will share their experiences, ideas, and personal reflections on living according to Dharma in today’s fast-changing world.
One of the main highlight is the Interactive Dharma Lab (IDL), a hands-on innovation challenge that encourages participants to apply Dharmic values to real-life situations.
Working in teams, participants will build ideas, create solutions to challenges faced by young people and society, and present their proposals to a panel of community leaders. The selected ideas may received mentorship after the conference and be developed into community projects.
