The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, with Bank Rakyat is supporting the development of a affordable orthopedic centre in Seremban by providing RM1.42 million in financing to Limbcraft Innovation Sdn Bhd.
The financing was given by YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, as part of efforts to support businesses that also brings him benefits to the community.
Making Treatment More Affordable
The medical enterprise was founded by orthopaedic surgeon Dr Eswaran Nadarajan, who spent about 15 years in the government healthcare sector and another 6 years in private sector before leaving his stable career to establish Axis Orthopaedic Specialist Centre & Ambulatory Care Centre.
According to Dr Eswaran, the idea came after seeing patients face two main difficult choices. Many have to wait weeks or even months for treatment at government hospitals, while treatment at private hospitals can cost between RM20,000-RM30,000.
To help with this issue, Dr Eswaran hopes to have quality orthopaedic care at a affordable price. Depending on the type of procedure, treatment and surgery costs at the new centre are expected to be reduced by up to 50 per cent.
The centre which is expected to open this year will include operating theaters, day treatment wards and robotic rehabilitation facilities.
The RM1.42 Million financing from Bank Rakyat will be used for renovation works, purchase of medical machines and equipment. The financing is given at a low profit rate of 4% per year.

YB Steven Sim said the government financing should not just help business grow but benefit the public. He said that in this case, Bank Rakyat’s financing does not just support a professional in building a business but allows more Malaysians to receive quality orthopaedic treatment at a affordable cost.
Good News for Negeri Sembilan Residents
Bukit Kepayang State Assemblywoman Nicole Tan Lee Koon welcomed the development of the new orthopedic centre, describing it as a good news for people at Negeri Sembilan.
She said residents will have another option to get faster and more affordable orthopaedic treatment.
Nicole added that the support is given by the Federal Government agencies to local businesses reflect the value of close cooperation between elected representatives, ministries and related agencies.
She also ensured her commitment to continue connecting local entrepreneurs with the right support channels so more ideas, innovation and expertise from Negeri Sembilan can grow and benefit wider community.
