SJKT Taman Permata’s student, T. Dilashan, has brought immense pride to his school after being selected to represent PDFA-MIFA in the Football Association of Selangor (FAS) League Under-12 for the 2026 National Under-12 Championship.
The school congratulated T. Dilashan on his selection via their official Facebook page, calling it a proud moment for both the school community and his family.
A platform for young football talents
The Football Association of Selangor (FAS) is the governing body responsible for developing and managing football in Selangor. Besides organising state-level competitions, FAS also places strong emphasis on nurturing young talents through its youth development programmes.
One of the initiatives is where they have competitive opportunities for players from various age groups such as Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-17. Through these leagues, FAS aims to identify promising young talents and provide them with valuable match experience while helping them develop technical skills, teamwork and discipline.
Recognition for hard work
Dilashan’s selection to represent PDFA-MIFA reflects the dedication and consistent effort he has shown throughout his football journey. Competing in the National Under-12 Championship will expose him to a higher level of competition where he will get the chance to face some of the country’s most talented young footballers.
SJKT Taman Permata expressed hope that Dilashan’s achievement will inspire more students to pursue their dreams in sports while balancing their education. The school also encouraged him to continue working hard, remain confident and strive for greater success, expressing pride in seeing one of its students represent at a prestigious youth football competition.
For many young footballers, opportunities such as the FAS League Under-12 National Championship serve as an important stepping stone towards representing their state, joining professional academies and, eventually, wearing the national jersey.
