Castrol Malaysia has launched eHailing Heroes, a new 12-month programme designed to help e-hailing drivers manage vehicle maintenance costs while supporting safer and more reliable journeys for passengers ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).
The programme is introduced with the support of Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) and the Persatuan Pengguna Pengankutan Awam Malaysia (4PAM).
The launch was announced in a press conference at Rom 8 studio and was officiated by Mohd Akbal Setia, Senior Director of Advertising and Digital at Tourism Malaysia and Head of the Secretariat for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
First Phase to Support 3,000 e-Hailing Drivers
The first phase of the programme will support up to 3,000 e-hailling vehicles, starting with drivers in the Klang Valley. Participating drivers will receiving subsidies Castrol MAGNATEC servicing, vehicle branding, and access to participating Castrol Auto Service workshops nationwide.

Drivers who complete 8,000 kilometres of verified mileage will receive a RM80 Castrol MAGNATEC service package e-voucher. The package includes engine oil, an oil filter and labour and can be redeemed at participating Castrol Auto Service workshops across the country.
Supporting Malaysia’s Tourism Experience
Castrol said the programme comes as Malaysia prepares gets prepared for Visit Malaysia 2026, where e-hailing drivers play an important role in welcoming local and international visitors.
Everyday, e-hailling drivers transport passengers between airports, hotels, city centres, food spots, shopping areas, heritage sites and local communities, making them an important part of the overall travel experience.

Helping Drivers Stay on the Road
Castrol said e-hailing vehicles often operate for long hours, covering high daily mileage while facing heavy traffic, repeated short trips, frequent idling and stop-start driving conditions.
Because of this, regular vehicle maintenance is important for drivers who rely on their cars as their main source of income. The programme uses Castrol MAGNATEC, which specially helps with stop-start driving. It’s intelligent molecules attach to the key engine parts to provide 50 per cent better protection against warm-up and restart wear, helping to deliver it’s promise of “Non-stop protection from every start”.

Better Support for Drivers Benefits Passengers
President of Persatuan Pengguna Pengangkutan Awam Malaysia (4PAM), Ajit Johl said passenger confidence depends on safe, reliable vehicles and good service. He said supporting drivers with easier access to vehicle maintenance and lower operating costs will improve travel experience for passengers.

By combining subsidies servicing, nationwide workship access and engine oil designed for stop-star driving, the programme aims to help drivers keep their vehicles in good condition while providing smoother and more dependable journeys.
Additional Discounts for Motorist
As part of the initiative, Castrol will also offer a 10 per cent discount across it’s passengers car engine oil range beginning August, giving more vehicle owners the opportunity to maintain their vehicles at a lower cost.
Through the eHailing Heroes programme, Castrol hopes to continue supporting Malaysia’s everyday transport network by helping drivers reduce servicing costs, keep their vehicles road-ready and provide a better experience for passengers.
E-hailing drivers who wish to join the programme can now register through the Castrol eHailing Heroes website to enjoy the subsidies servicing and other programme benefits.
