SJKT Menglembu has made its school community after becoming the champions in the North Kinta District-Level Netball tournament, outperforming teams from schools across the district.
The remarkable achievement reflects the team’s determination, discipline, and strong teamwork throughout the competition. In addition to lifting the championship trophy, SJKT Menglembu also swept several individual honours, with its players receiving the Best Player, Best Attacker, and Best Defender awards, further highlighting the team’s outstanding performance on the court.
The school’s success was guided by dedicated coach Ms Nirmala Devi, whose commitment and consistent training played a key role in preparing the team for the tournament. Sharing her thoughts after the victory, she expressed pride in every player, saying that the team’s unwavering cooperation, discipline, and commitment to attending every training session without fail contributed greatly to their success. She also credited the players’ teamwork, dedication, and mutual support for helping them stay focused and ultimately secure the championship title.
The achievement did not stop there. Three SJKT Menglembu players have also been selected to represent the North Kinta district netball team in the upcoming stage of the competition, marking another significant milestone for both the students and the school. Their selection is a testament to their talent and hard work, and the school hopes they will continue to perform with confidence and excellence while representing the district.
The school’s headmistress expressed immense pride over the team’s accomplishment and extended her heartfelt appreciation to Ms Nirmala Devi for her dedication in coaching the students.
