Dato’ Sivanesan Leads Batu Gajah Temple Land Resolution, Four Temples Agree to Relocate

The long-standing issue surrounding temple land ownership in Batu Gajah has taken a positive step forward following a meeting between state authorities and representatives from five temples in the district.

Dato’ Sivanesan Achalingam, the Perak state government’s Human Resources, Health, Indian Community Affairs and National Integration Committee, said the meeting was hekd with officers from the Bau Gajah Land and Mines office to discuss matters to the status and ownership of temple lands.

According to him, the discussion was conducted in a constructive manner with the aim of finding practical solutions that comply with existing laws and procedures while safeguarding the interests of all parties involved.

Following the meeting, Dato’ Sivanesan visited a proposed relocation site identified by the Batu Gajah Land Office. He expressed his appreciation to four of the five temples for agreeing to relocate to the new site, describing the decision as an important step towards resolving the land issues amicably.

Dato’ Sivanesan reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to working closely with relevant agencies and temple representatives to ensure that solutions are implemented in accordance with legal requirements while preserving the welfare of the affected religious institutions and the local community.
