Tourism Selangor ended the Selangor Travel Fair (STF) 2026, held on 25th and 26th July 2026 at Central Market, Kuala Lumpur. The fair attracted more than 50,000 visitors and generated over RM150.000 in sales.
The event strengthened Tourism Selangor’s aim to promote the state as one of Malaysia’s top tourism destinations while supporting the Visit Selangor Year 2026 (YSY2026) campaign. The fair brought 40 tourism exhibitors together from different sectors, such as theme parks, ecotourism, agritourism, heritage, gastronomy, hospitality and recreational attractions.
Visitors had the chance to explore tourism products, enjoy exclusive promotions and discover the experiences available across Selangor. During the launch ceremony, Selangor State Executive Councillor for Local Government and Tourism, Datuk Ng Suee Lim, said the Selangor Travel Fair plays an important role in promoting the state’s tourism industry.

He said the event helps to showcase Selangor’s diverse attractions while strengthening it’s position as Malaysia’s most visited state. Ng added that the initiative also supports the goal to attract 9 million tourists under the Visit Selangor Year 2026 campaign.
Tourism Selangor Celebrates 25 Years
This year’s fair also celebrated Tourism Selangor’s 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary, and recognized a quarter-century of promoting the state’s tourism industry through destination development, industry partnership and tourism campaigns.
Tourism Selangor Chief Executive Officer Chua Yee Ling said this year’s anniversary theme, “Silver in Motion”, reflects the 25 years of progress and it’s commitment to build a more sustainable, innovative, and competitive tourism industry.
She said Tourism Selangor all this years worked closely with tourism players and strategic partners to develop tourism products, organize major events and promote Selangor locally and internationally.
Looking ahead, she said the organization is focused on creating meaningful experiences for domestic and international visitors.
Performances, Activities, and New Tourism Campaign
Throughout the event, visitors enjoyed a many activities such as cultural performances, traditional music showcases, creative workshops, videography sessions, live podcasts, interactive tourism experiences and exclusive travel promotions.

The fair also had free health screenings under the medical tourism segment. Entertainment was provided by local artistes like Wani Kayrie, Mohsein Kush, Puteri Haffira (Ella Junior), Hussain Jamalulhayat, Mamat Exists, and Kumpulan Bob Sentuhan.
One of the main highlight of the event is the launch of Selangor Sketch-Stop book, a collaboration between Tourism Selangor and local illustrator Ann Jaafar, Baihaqi Ismail and Ichie Imran.Visitors also enjoyed exhibitions, demonstration and family-friendly tourism activities throughout the fair.
Strategic Partners Recognized
Tourism Selangor appreciated their strategic partners including Farm Fresh, AVIS Budget Malaysia, FAMSY, Tourism Malaysia Central Region, Perbadanan Adat Melayu dan Warisan Negeri Selangor (PADAT), Media Selangor, Batik Air, and Sinemalis Studio for making the event a success.
Tourism Remains Key to Selangor’s Economy
Tourism Selangor highlighted the role tourism continues to play in the state’s economy. In 2025, Selangor welcomed 36.4 million domestic visitors, making it Malaysia’s most visited state for the fifth consecutive year since 2021. In the same period, Selangor recorded a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of RM460.1 billion, contributing 26.5% to Malaysia’s economy with tourism being they state’s key economic drivers.
The event was also the official launch of “Surprising Selangor Kan Ada” theme song and music video. The music video celebrates Tourism Selangor’s 25-year journey, recognising the dedication and contribution to the employes in developing the state’s tourism industry.
