When Con City released in cinemas in June, it quietly flew under the radar even though the story brought together an exciting cast led by Arjun Das, and Anna Ben. As Saravana, Arjun balances humour, emotion and clever thinking while leading the family’s biggest cons. He still delivers the screen presence fans expect, but this role he proves he can carry a film without his intimidating persona alone.
Anna Ben also delivers a confident performance, while Yogi Babu and Vadivukarasi brings humour that carries the film.
3) Every Twist Changes the Story
Just when you think you already understand where the film is heading, another reveal changes everything. From the family’s hidden identities to Jeeva going missing and the truth behind the kidnap, Con City introduces new surprises every few minutes of the film. It keeps adding layers instead of revealing everything at once.
4) The Cons Are Creative and Ridiculously Fun
The heart of Con City is not the action. Its watching the four of them pull a smart scam one after another. It does not pretend to be realistic and that’s exactly why the con sequences become so enjoyable.
